The cherry blossom is the flower of the Cherry Tree, and while most people commonly think that the tree produces only pink blooms, the most common of varieties produce white blooms. In either case, the flowers are stunningly exquisite and with a little creativity and imagination, allow for the creation of a beautiful and elegant wedding theme.

The Cherry Blossom is the national flower of Japan; one of the reasons it is closely associated with Japanese weddings and celebrations. There is much symbolism surrounding the Cherry Blossom and much of this meaning is often found in wedding ceremonies today. Across many cultures, the flower represents life and love. In Japan, the Blossom is an omen of good fortune and also represents love and affection, as well as being closely tied to the spring season.

Cherry Blossom trees were brought to the United States in 1912, when Japan gifted over 3,000 trees to celebrate the developing relationship between the two countries. These magnificent trees can now be found throughout the country, with many cities now hosting annual Festivals that celebrate their awe-inspiring beauty, (the most notable being the National Festival in Washington, D.C.) which usually take place between the months of March and April.

The limited blooming season of these trees makes them somewhat rare; it is this rarity that contributes, in part, to their beauty and elegance. For those brides fortunate enough to be married mid-March to mid-April, Cherry Blossoms are readily available. This is not to say however, that a bride cannot incorporate the significance of this beautiful flower into her wedding to create a unifying wedding theme during any time of year!

The best way to accomplish creating a Cherry Blossom Wedding Theme is to include accents that feature these pink or white blooms throughout the wedding from beginning to end. Such gatherings, festivities of Carnival, were paralleled from the 15th century by increasingly elaborate allegorical Entries, pageants and triumphal processions celebrating marriages and other dynastic events of late medieval court life. Such costumed dances were a special luxury of the ducal court of Burgundy.

Masquerade balls were extended into costumed public festivities in Italy during the 16th century Renaissance (Italian, maschera). They were generally elaborate dances held for members of the upper classes, and were particularly popular in Venice. They have been associated with the tradition of the Venetian Carnival. With the fall of the Venetian Republic at the end of the 18th century, the use and tradition of masks gradually began to decline, until they disappeared altogether.

A new resurgence of masquerade balls began in the late 1990s in North America and are still held today, though in modern times the party atmosphere is emphasized and the formal dancing usually less prominent. Less formal "costume parties" may be a descendant of this tradition.

I know, like me so many of you have problems and frustrations while submitting your cards at GCU.It took me a while to learn the rules, So I decided to share it with you, so you don't have to go through major pain of "rejection" and approval process.See below

this is my shop

1.see the detailed titles , they want all titles to be detailed,like if your card has a poinsettia, a ribbon and a gift box, your title should be "poinsettias red ribbon and gift box Christmas card" your tag should also include these 3 words among others.

2.image size is 2100x1500 or vice veras, jpeg format

3.you cannot add text to front of card, so make your image with the text

4.If you card suppose has a red ornament and snowflakes, tag them "Christmas,red ornament,snowflakes...that's it, no extra tags like 25r dec,major holidays,fun stuff...e.t.c. like we do at zazzle, just relevant tags

5.categorize your cad very accurate like if front of your card says "happy holidays" then it should be place in Christmas--->happy holidays.They have a category for everything ,so look and search properly before submitting

6.if suppose you are making a mothers day card, and you have no text at front, then it "should" say "mother's day" in the front,

A mix of blue and green, turquoise has a sweet feminine feel while the darker teal shades add lively sophistication.
Love, healing, generosity, emotion, feeling , the unconscious , intuition, individual responsibility .creativity , communication, self reliance , independence.
This color has more to do with feeling and creative expression than with rational thought. These colors between green and blue the shades of turquoise, blue green and or aqua relate to transformation, evolution, change, sharing, waves, metamorphosis, transmutation, the inner teacher, and the spiritual heart or Thymus Chakra, a transpersonal chakra on the hara line (deeper aura level ) about midway between the heart and the throat. This is a chakra which connects us with energies of spiritual love and mystical communion and the Divine or God concept (however you name it ) as teacher and as Sacred Lover and beloved. These are shades that admit us to varied realms of the trans-dimensional, meaning existence beyond time and space. While the most common elemental attribution of this color is to water it is also a color of air and spirit. Turquoise is associated with ancient civilizations, the New Age and also with the zodiac sign of Aquarius. The word aqua means water. These shades are strongly evocative of the ocean on a clear day especially that of the lovely warm tropical Island seas .This family of colors is a color of mystics and telepathy a symbol of the heavens and of the sea, of fluid movement and mutability.
